Thomas "Mac" Mc Intosh age 69, of Ames, Iowa died Friday October 14, 2016 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. A gathering of friends and family will be 4:-6:00 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 18, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care 414 Lincoln Way Ames, Iowa; with an 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, Celebration of life funeral service at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care. Burial will be at Nevada Cemetery Nevada, Iowa.
Thomas Mc Intosh known as Mac to many was born September 20, 1947, in Ames, Iowa the son of Grant and Mary Mc Intosh. He graduated from Ames, High School. Mac enjoyed roller skating as a young man, you could find him at the J 4 Rollaway until it closed. Mac was a professional transportation driver, starting at Greyhound and Midwest Coaches driving buses. He then went to work for Central Iowa Trucking and CIT Signature Transportation.
Mac is survived by his sisters, Ann Bruce of Scottsdale, AZ; and Sandy Knudson of Humboldt, a niece Ashley Bruce, and a nephew Michael Knudson and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a niece Holly Bruce.

Mac was both a friend and a co-worker who I looked up to and respected. His skill of driving a motor coach was matched only by his cribbage playing! My condolences to his family and friends.
My condolences to Tom's family. It was a pleasure to have Tom work with us at Iowa State Trucking for so many years. He was very reliable and committed to his work, the company, and those he worked with. Unfortunately I was out of town and was unable to pay my respects in person but felt I wanted to let his family know how appreciated Tom was.
RIP Mac....you will be missed by everyone that knew you.
