Nicholas A. Sikes (36), born April 20, 1980, was called home to be with his Lord on Friday late afternoon, September 23, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and daughters Elizabeth and Nichole. Before moving to Bismarck, ND, the Sikes family lived in Roland, IA. Nicholas was employed by Emerson Process Management in the oil and gas industry. He was active at Bismarck Baptist Church and Century Baptist Church in Bismarck, served on the Board of Martin Luther School, and flew for the North Dakota Civil Air Patrol. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 29, at 7:00 PM at Bismarck Baptist Church, 2211 E. LaForest Avenue, with a fellowship reception following the service. A second memorial service will be held in Ames, IA, on Monday, October 3, at 6:30 PM, at Christ Community Church on 5501 George Washington Carver Avenue. An encouragement reception will follow the service. A scholarship fund for the children of Nicholas Sikes has been established at Dakota Community Bank, 66 Santee Road, Lincoln ND.
