Pauline (Rieger) Halliburton, age 95, died at Story County Medical Senior Care in Nevada, on July 16, 2016. A gathering of friends and family will be held at 4-6:00 p.m. Monday July 18, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way in Ames. Private family burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Nevada.

Pauline Halliburton, born September 27, 1920 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, grew up greeting 12 new family members over 17 years. She met and married J. Wayne Halliburton in 1942 and they settled between Palmer and Mazenod, Saskatchewan. The Halliburton family moved from Canada to rural Story County, Iowa in 1946 and to town in Nevada, Iowa following harvest that fall. Her husband Wayne died in 1975. Following his death, Pauline learned to drive and was employed at Tipton Drug in Nevada.

Pauline is survived by her son Cal, daughter-in-law Jane, granddaughter Kelley, grandson Jeff and Heidi Herold. She is also survived by sisters Helen of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and Lydia of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
