Lezlie Faye Claude, 61, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. A gathering of friends and family will be from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. Sunday October 19, 2014 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way. A celebration of life funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday October 20, 2014 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care. Burial will take place at Ames Municipal Cemetery following the service.
Lezlie was born October 29, 1952 to Philip and Winona Moe in Ames. She graduated from Roland-Story High School. Lezlie worked 39 years at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Environmental Services. Lezlie enjoyed traveling to Texas, going to rock & gem shows as well as craft shows. She loved gardening and especially growing African Violets and Orchids. She was a fan of the San Diego Chargers and NASCAR driver, Bobby Labonte. She found great joy in spending time with her family and grandchildren. She spent a lot of time playing games and doing puzzles with her grandchildren.
Lezlie is survived by her husband, Dennis; daughter, Angela Claude and Josh Samuelson; 2 grandchildren, Tabitha and Liliana Samuelson; her mother, Winona Moe; 2 brothers, Darren Moe and Kevin Moe; a sister, Coezette and Larry Berg; two sister-in-laws, Nancy Steffa and Dolores and Orvy Hauge.
She is preceded in death by her father, father- in- law, and mother- in- law.

Lezlie had one of those faces that you never saw not smiling. No matter how bad a day you were having she was happy as can be and always put a smile on your face. She will be missed. I just want her family to know how much she meant to everybody at the Mary Greeley family and how amazing she was!
